9.30am Portobello / Edinburgh / Vogrie / Oriam / Meadowmill
Saturdays are for parkrun! Although not an official ERN training event, ERNies can be found at all of the local parkruns, with Portobello, Edinburgh (Cramond) and Vogrie being the most well-attended by us, in that order. Many of us are involved in regular volunteering at parkrun, and each year we do an “ERN Takeover” for our club’s birthday, where we take over the entire volunteer roster at Portobello parkrun. Whether you are running or volunteering, parkrun is a great way to get to know more runners and to give back to our community.
9.30am – See below for start locations
Our Sunday runs typically feature the mileage build-up to local and popular half / full marathons and there is always a “club run” route option of around 10km. The Spring 2022 plan includes the long run mileage plans for Stirling half & marathon and EMF half & marathon. These are predominantly road / tarmac routes although from time to time we may include a trail run option or a “destination run” to explore routes outside Edinburgh.
